Story

Born in Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria

SEPTEMBER 12, 1958

Liam Tony Ge, a man of profound intelligence, generosity, and passion, completed his earthly journey on December 26, 2025, in Columbia, Maryland. Born on September 12, 1958, to Augustine T. Ge and Francisca Nyinyagh Utsa in Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria. Liam's life was a testament to the power of faith, hard work, and dedication. He leaves behind a legacy of love and achievement, embodied by his beloved wife, Julianne; his sons, Liam Jr., Shima, and Sesoo; and the memories he shared with his family.

Liam's educational journey began at St. John's Primary School in Gboko, where his academic prowess first shone. He continued to excel through his secondary education at St. Andrew's Adipko and St. Michael's Aliade, not only in his studies but also as a skilled debater. His thirst for knowledge and excellence led him to the School of Basic Studies and then to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he read Law. At ABU, Liam's leadership was unmistakable as he served as the speaker of the student union. Upon graduation, he attended the Nigerian Law School, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1981, and later furthered his education at the University of Southampton, England. There, he earned a master's degree in shipping and maritime law and qualified as a solicitor in the United Kingdom. His academic journey culminated in the United States, where he wrote and passed the New York bar exam and was called to the New York bar.

Professionally, Liam's career was as diverse as it was distinguished. Beginning at the chambers of Sam Tsumba and associates, he quickly rose to become a partner at Andzenge & Ge Law firm. His expertise and leadership skills were recognized at Delta Steel Company, where he served as the Legal Advisor and later as the company secretary. His dedication to justice and public service shone brightly during his tenure as the Benue State Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice. In the United Kingdom, he was a respected Immigration Solicitor, and in the United States, he contributed to the patent and copyright sectors as a contractor for the US Department of Justice. Liam's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own law firm, Liamslaw, where he advocated as an immigration attorney, and he also guided Julaad Global Consultancy as its CEO.

A devout Christian, Liam lived his life as a reflection of his faith. He believed in the power of the Word, both written and spoken, and his relationship with God was the cornerstone of his existence. His interests in reading and Nigerian politics were not merely pastimes but channels through which he engaged with the world, always seeking to contribute positively to society.

Liam was a beacon of light for many, with an intellect that could illuminate the darkest of rooms and a generosity that knew no bounds. His passion for life and justice was evident in every endeavor he undertook, and he inspired countless individuals to strive for their best. In his words and actions, Liam exemplified the virtues of a life well-lived, and his legacy will continue to motivate and guide those who had the privilege to know him.

As we celebrate the life of Liam Tony Ge, we are reminded that our time here is precious and that each day is an opportunity to make a difference. Liam's story encourages us to persevere in the face of adversity, to seek wisdom, and to live a life of service to others. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his extraordinary life.
